Okuma Salina spinning reels feature Okuma's "Blade Body Design" which reduces weight by eliminating the extra mass and bulk of the reel, giving the reel a much lighter and compact design.  The Dual Force Drag System (DFD) incorporates both surfaces Okuma Salina spinning reels spool to maximize high-end drag pressure, efficiency and over all smoothness.

Okuma's proprietary HDF forged main gear has been engineered to be 50% stronger than standard gearing due to its unique alloy composition and density.  HDF gears were specifically designed to withstand the use of today's super braid fishing line.
